Why My Favorite LemonMoon Product Will Always Be My Lotion

Honestly, it's a hard question.

I use my soaps every day. I'm obsessed with my Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I love taking the time to mix up one of my clay masks.

Every product has its place in my routine.

It would be my lotion.

It Started With My Eczema

LemonMoon didn't begin with a business plan.

It didn't begin with a logo or a website.

It started because I was tired of having dry, irritated skin.

For years I struggled with eczema and was constantly looking for something that would actually help. I wanted a lotion that felt nourishing instead of greasy and left my skin feeling comfortable long after I applied it.

So I decided to try making my own.

That First Batch Looked Nothing Like It Does Today

If I still had that very first batch sitting on a shelf, I'd probably laugh.

It looked different.

And honestly...it wasn't nearly as good as what I make now.

Over the years I've changed the recipe more times than I can count.

Every adjustment taught me something new.

I've experimented with ingredients, changed percentages, improved the texture, and fine-tuned the formula until it became the lotion I was always trying to create.

That's one of my favorite things about making products by hand. They're always evolving. I never stop asking, "How can I make this even better?"

The Lotion I Reach For Every Day

Even after creating soaps, scrubs, masks, serums, body oils, shower steamers, and so many other products...

My lotion is still the one I use every single day.

It's sitting on my bathroom counter.

There's usually one beside my bed.

And I almost always have one tucked into my bag.

I use it after my shower, before bed, and anytime my skin feels a little dry.

It's become such a normal part of my day that I don't even think about reaching for it anymore.

More Than Just Soft Skin

For me, lotion isn't just about moisturizing.

It's a small ritual.

A few quiet minutes after a shower.

The scent that lingers while I get ready for the day.

A little reminder to slow down and take care of myself, even if it's only for a minute.
